5 Superpowers Every Facilitator Needs by Jackie Colburn

Jackie Colburn, product consultant and facilitator, outlines five core skills that help teams unlock better ideas and stronger alignment. She emphasizes that facilitation should focus on guiding creativity, navigating conflict, building trust, enabling curiosity, and adapting in real time to drive better outcomes.

Showcasing Your Potential by Linda Zhang

Linda Zhang, founder of Product Lessons, explains that interviewers look for signs of growth, not just a list of achievements. She encourages PMs to tell authentic stories that highlight what they have learned and how they have changed. A strong story focuses on progress and resilience, helping candidates stand out and signal their potential.

Always Be Launching by Andrew Chen

Andrew Chen, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, urges PMs to replace the Big Bang Launch with an Always Be Launching strategy. He encourages sharing small wins, customer stories, and product lessons consistently to build long-term momentum. Chen emphasizes that steady & authentic engagement builds more trust and influence than a single polished announcement.

Behind the Scenes

Hey there, it’s Clement! I’ve been thinking about the role that mistakes play in shaping great product managers. I’ve made plenty myself, and I’ve coached PMs through some tough ones too.

Here’s the thing: mistakes aren’t the end of the road.

They’re often the start of something better.

When we fail, we want to be resilient; we want to learn from it, build thicker skin, and bounce back with more focus. The PMs who grow fastest are the ones who reflect, adjust, and keep moving.

That kind of resilience doesn’t just make you sharper! It helps you hold boundaries for your identity, too.

It keeps you from tying your self-worth to every launch, and makes it easier to leave work at work.

So the next time something doesn’t land, don’t beat yourself up. Step back, get curious, and treat it like part of your training.

What’s one mistake that made you stronger? I’d love to hear how you bounced back!

With love,
Clement
